Founder: Integrative Pediatric Therapy

Sally N. Fryer founded Integrative Pediatric Therapy with a vision for helping children establish a strong foundation for development and growth.

With over 28 years of experience, Sally saw a desperate need for integrated therapies tailored to children's individual needs, challenges, abilities and aptitudes. Sally understood that although traditional treatment techniques were beneficial for developmental issues, they were not a panacea for every child.

Sally started one of the first practices in the region to offer a combination of techniques, making her vision of a truly integrated approach a reality. More recently, she began introducing CranioSacral Therapy with dramatic results as well.

Educational

Education and Experience

Sally has earned degrees in Child Development from San Diego State University and in Physical Therapy from the University of California at San Francisco and is licensed in both Texas and California.

Sally is a SIPT certified therapist with training in Sensory Integration which goes back 28 years. Prior to becoming a physical therapist, Sally worked at a special needs school in Central California with therapists trained by Dr. Jean Ayres. This inspired her to pursue a career path into Pediatric Physical Therapy.

Sally is also certified in Interactive Metronome (IM) and is diplomate-certified in CranioSacral Therapy (CST) with the Upledger Institute. She has been asked to be a teacher for Interactive Metronome and assists in teaching CranioSacral Therapy through the advanced levels for the Upledger Institute. Every summer, she is a visiting therapist for the Upledger Institute in the dolphin-assisted intensive program in the Bahamas.

Sally teaches and lectures (locally, nationally and internationally) on the subjects of Pediatrics, Child Development, Sensory Integration and CranioSacral Therapy.

Personal

Family and Personal Interests

Sally was inspired to open her clinic in Dallas when her oldest son at age 6 showed signs of inattention and possible attention deficit (ADHD). After three "second opinions" and the inability to find the right program locally, she opened her clinic to help him as well as others.

Her clinic focused on clinically proven therapies centered in sensory integration theory and treatment. With a personality wired for "pushing the envelope", Sally searched for the most effective treatments to help treat children. Her practice has grown from a one person operation to three multidisciplinary clinics in the Dallas Metroplex area.

Sally has two sons, Alex and Max. Sally's oldest son, Alex, has currently found great personal satisfaction and success by serving his country in the US Army. Max is a sophomore in high school and plays football and rugby. In addition to a household full of adolescent activity, the Fryers have a frisky Labradoodle, "Duke" and a mellow cat "Jessy".

Sally loves to travel, teach, and learn and has been all over the world doing just that. She is an avid equestrian and cyclist and spends most of her free time enjoying the outdoors on either her horse or her bike. Her other favorite activities include yoga, fly fishing, photography and spending time with her family.
